This is Ukia (aka "Tony") our 2 1/2 year old male BC
Timber Wolf. He is by far the biggest love on the
planet. Ukia is a special guy, who was bred by John and
Julie Basile of the Big Run Wolf Ranch. Ukia was lost
during the difficult birthing in route to the vet. John
and his long time buddy "Tony" actually preformed CPR
on Ukia and saved him. We have been dealing with Big Run
for many years and were lucky enough to have John send us Ukia
for our exhibit.
Ukia, we use for our educational seminar
"This is NOT a
pet".
While "Tony" can be
visited both on and off premises, he is the star of the
annual wolf expo held by Teresa DeMaio of Running With the
Wolves.

This is Sitka. She is our 2 year old female North American
Grey Wolf. She is the most perfect example of the Grey wolf
I have ever seen. Tall, sleek, lean --- simply stunning.
Sitka is also from a pack at Big Run Wolf Ranch. She is a
gentle, sensitive and loving sole that we hold dear to our hearts.
She is one of our most amazing creatures. Sitka gave us quite a scare recently as she took seriously ill.
It took alot of though, time, medication, patients and praying to
save her life. Many people were involved in her
recovery...We here at Second Chance along with John and Don of Big
Run, Teresa of Running With the Wolves, Dr. Kollins of New Hyde
Park animal hospital, Lori of the Star Foundation, Pat Bono, and a
few others are all to thank.
